Well, we won the game – that's the important thing! The performance, though, was a bit lack-lustre and it was a rather classic 1-0 fair win.
Preston never really got going and our goalkeeper, Michael Cooper, had another of those games where he might have brought a deckchair with him, so little did he have to do!
The Blades dominated possession, but even so only managed the one goal, into the second half when a Harrison Burrows cross met Tyrese Campbell who headed powerfully home.

Anyway, it was good to win, although Preston are a rather ordinary, mid-table side. And I was surprised how few fans they brought with them. There were only about 300 in one corner of the stand . . .
Portsmouth did us a real favour today, beating Leeds 1-0, which means that the Blades and Leeds are now both on 76 points with Leeds just edging to first place on goal difference.
We play against Bristol City on Tuesday and then next weekend sees the local derby against Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough.
