A weird game, and definitely one of “two halves”. Derby were fighting for a place in the play-offs, so I knew they’d be up and at us, and indeed they scored after five minutes! ( Read more... )
On a very cold evening, the Blades gave a rather pitiful performance (from which half the fans left at half time, including the man and son who sit next to me!) so I’m not going to dwell on this match, which is best forgotten! ( Read more... )
Leaving the match yesterday there was torrential rain and very strong winds and the traffic backed up a bit. I was inching along when I spotted this litter bin at a bus stop.

Thankfully (about time!) back to winning ways this week which was very welcome after six games without a win. It was a blow for Hull City, I’m afraid, as it ended their chance of making the play-offs, but they’ve confirmed their status in the Championship for next season. ( Read more... )

Saturday was a lovely day weather-wise, both here and in Portsmouth (hope others had a bit of respite, too!) and the Blades did manage a smash-and-grab win, with a goal in the ninety-fifth minute. ( Read more... )
As it’s Valentine’s Day today, there was a wonderful tongue-in-cheek article in The Times Magazine, headed “Calling all Lovermen!” I won’t reproduce it all here, but just some highlights . . . saving the best for last! ( Read more... )
