Apr. 12th, 2026 04:18 pmThankfully (about time!) back to winning ways this week which was very welcome after six games without a win. It was a blow for Hull City, I’m afraid, as it ended their chance of making the play-offs, but they’ve confirmed their status in the Championship for next season.

World Day of Prayer
Mar. 8th, 2026 04:05 pmI’m our Church’s representative for The World Day of Prayer, along with two lovely ladies from the nearby Methodist and Catholic Churches. It was the turn of the Methodists to host this year, and the service was written by the Christian Women of Nigeria on the theme of “I will give you rest, come”, from Matthew 11:28.

Sheffield United v Sheffield Wednesday
Feb. 24th, 2026 01:10 pmSteel City Derby day in Sheffield last Sunday and the Blades completed a ‘double’ as we beat our city rivals for the second time this season. In doing so, we also confirmed that Sheffield Wednesday would be relegated to League One and, although it’s been clear for some time that that would be the case, United being the side to officially relegate them made it a bit sad.
